C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly) is Chloe Raunet, a Franco-Canadian-London-residing adherent for the odder-end of electronic music, co-host of the Latete Atoto show on NTS Radio and  former singer of cold-wave band Battant.

Playful, machine-driven and dark, her music has been described as sardonic pop, straddling the spheres of post-punk, synth pop, krautrock and psychedelic disco.

'The songs I write are strange, mostly electronic, emanating from a long-term crush on weird pop music'.

She is known for uplifting dance-floors with her clever lyrics, distinct voice and unique delivery.

Her debut LP MY FRIEND came out on Kill The DJ in November 2014. She finished recording album II with Steve Osborne at Real World Studios at the end of August and is releasing an EP of new material, STRANGE WAYS on February 14th, 2017.

As well as working on her own music, C.A.R. collaborates with other artists. CARAXES, a project with Tel Aviv artists Red Axes is out now. She penned & delivered the lyrics on Gesaffelstein's highly acclaimed debut ALEPH (Parlophone), appeared on Ruede Hagelstein's APOPHENIA (Watergate Records), featured on Maceo Plex's hit MIRROR ME (Kompakt) & has ongoing projects with Manfredas, It's A Fine Line (Ivan Smagghe & Tim Paris) and Minnesotans RONiiA (Dark Dark Dark / Marijuana Deathsquads),
